The purpose of the Skate Shop Union is to unite and empower the core skate shops, to give them a strong collective voice. It is the belief of the Skate Shop Union that it is the core shops who make up the foundation/backbone of our industry and that their preservation be its top priority. Like roots of a tree, the core shops are grounded, knowledgeable, and intertwined in their local scenes, promoting skateboarding based on the needs of each unique scene. This soul of skateboarding is not present in the big box and chain stores. United, we can help ensure that core shops finally have a voice.
